On September, 14th we promoted a lecture on Medicinal Plants – Herbal Medicine, given by Alessandro Neves (Bachelor in Philosophy/ Holistic Therapist) for teen students of Belisário School, their parents and some teachers. It was the third lecture since we have began working on the Medicinal Plants Project – Rational Use of Medicinal Plants.

It was an introduction to the herbal medicine focusing on its rational use, the correct way of collecting the plants as well as its preparation, as a tea (infusion/decoction) or as a tincture or a cream.

Besides that, people had the opportunity to know about the side effects of some medicinal herbs and the best way of managing the preparation so that it does not become harmful for the health.
The students’ mothers had an active participation and the kids took notes and asked interesting questions!
