Where are we in Brazil?
If you check the map below, you’ll see Iracambi is located in the state of Minas Gerais, close to the borders with Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. Our part of the state is called Zona da Mata which means the Forest Zone, and our forest is the Atlantic Forest – not to be confused with the Amazon Forest! Over the centuries the Atlantic Forest has been reduced to around 13% of its original extent, but we are lucky enough to live in one of the best preserved areas in the state, bordering the Serra do Brigadeiro State Park. It’s an area of extraordinary biodiversity, great natural beauty and thriving family coffee farms. But don’t take our word for it: come see for yourself!
